Uptown Yolk is a cherished breakfast and brunch spot located between Charlotte's Uptown and Southend neighborhoods. Known for our Southern-inspired brunch cuisine and commitment to exceptional dining experiences, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team.
**Role Overview:**
As a Line Cook at Uptown Yolk, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for cooking, and the ability to work collaboratively with the entire kitchen staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Food Preparation:** Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- **Station Management:** Maintain cleanliness and organization of your assigned station, ensuring it is stocked and ready for service.
- **Quality Control:** Consistently monitor food quality and presentation to meet our high standards.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with other kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs and Executive Chef, to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
- **Sanitation:** Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
- **Efficiency:** Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all orders are prepared promptly and accurately.
- **Creativity:** Contribute to menu development and specials by providing feedback and suggestions.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary industry.
