\n\nTravel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
\n\nOpportunity:
\nRN - Circulator OR
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 40-hour work week with general hours 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday
\n• Occasional late days required to complete surgical case loads
\n• Rotational call schedule averaging 1-2 days per week and every other weekend or every 3rd weekend
\n• Must have experience in all three areas: Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU
\n• Function as primary caregiver across all three surgical service areas
\n• Conduct patient assessments and document care throughout surgical process
\n• Provide emotional support and coordinate patient transfers
\n• Circulate surgical cases including general, OB/GYN, ophthalmology (cataract surgery), and orthopedic surgeries
\n• Assist with processing instruments and equipment in central sterilizing
\n• Prepare patients for surgery and provide patient education
\n• Must adhere to infection control principles and department policies
\n• Follow national standards through IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN
\n• Current Colorado RN licensure required
\n• 3 years Pre-op/OR/PACU experience preferred
\n• ACLS certification required
\n• CNOR certification preferred
\n• Scrub experience preferred
\n• Ability to perform effectively in highly stressful situations
\n• Must handle long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting
\n• Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases possible
Facility:
\nThis medical center features a comprehensive surgical services department with 3 operating room suites, 3 PACU beds, a pre-operative area, and 1 anesthesia provider. The facility performs a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, OB/GYN procedures, ophthalmology surgeries (particularly cataract procedures), and orthopedic surgeries performed once to twice monthly. The surgical services department maintains high standards following national guidelines and provides a full spectrum of perioperative care.
