Assistant Property Manager

The Assistant Property Manager plays a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while supporting the operational success of our storage facilities. This position may require occasional travel to other locations to assist during staff shortages, high-demand periods, or special projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled at problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and contribute positively to the team and overall company goals.

Position Summary
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for renting storage units, generating sales, informing customers about space availability, rental guidelines, and pricing. This role supports customers in selecting the appropriate unit size, completing rental agreements, and ensuring a smooth and professional leasing experience.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Delivering exceptional customer service in person and over the phone while generating sales leads and converting inquiries into rentals.
  • Upselling company merchandise and products.
  • Recommending appropriate unit sizes and services based on customer needs.
  • Clearly communicating the leasing process, rental terms, and facility policies.
  • Making customer account calls, including payment reminders, collections follow-up, and documenting all interactions in the computer system.
  • Collecting payments, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Managing, auditing, and balancing the cash drawer; preparing and making daily bank deposits.
  • Conducting daily inspections of storage units and the property to confirm inventory availability, ensure unit security, and maintain rent-ready conditions.
  • Performing routine property upkeep such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, picking up trash, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment for customers.
  • Traveling to other properties to support operations as needed.
  • Assisting with special projects and performing other duties as assigned.
