HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Downtown Syracuse. This travel assignment is ideal for a pediatric critical care nurse with PACU experience. The schedule includes a mix of day and evening 12-hour shifts over a 2-week period.Assignment Details:
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 12-hour shifts – Days (07:00–19:30) and Evenings (11:00–23:30)
Weekend Rotation: Some weekends required
6 shifts scheduled per 2-week pay period
Qualifications:
Active New York RN license – Required
BLS Certification – Required
Minimum 1.5 years recent pediatric critical care experience in an acute care facility of similar size/level – Required
PACU experience – Preferred
EPIC EMR experience – Preferred
Strong communication, assessment, and clinical judgment skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care for pediatric patients in the PACU
Monitor patient status, manage post-anesthesia recovery, and respond to clinical changes
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team to ensure safe patient outcomes
Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation
Provide care with minimal orientation and supervision
