WL is looking for a mature, dedicated and experienced Graphic Designer/Production Artist that is excited to join an established design team and bring our Creative Director’s art to life.

You are right for this position if you enjoy both working independently and as part of a team, have excellent attention to detail and are experienced in Illustrator, Photoshop and photo retouching.

Any familiarity with illustration/drawing, screen printing, manufacturing/production or Procreate are pluses!

Job Summary:

The primary role of the Graphic Designer/Production Artist is to digitize our Creative Director’s drawings into graphic designs for apparel production. They will also work in tandem with artists and our production team to create original designs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Creative Director, artists and other Design Team members to understand the project, design and finished product
• Interpret and digitize sketches and verbal direction from creative designers to create production ready digital art
• Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during development
• Create original art + graphic designs in a style consistent with WL as needed
• Prepare drafts of design work and provide samples to design team executives for review
• Create realistic mockups of apparel and products
• Revise projects as necessary based on feedback given from Creative Director, Head of Design and design team members
• Work closely with the Development Team to prepare designs for sample production
• Effectively communicate with other designers and departments around planned designs and drops
• Create tech packs for production & development
• Create production sheets that include color, sizing and other information required for production & development
• Retouch digital photos
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines preferred but not required
• At least 5 years of related work experience is highly preferred
• Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
• Proficient in photo retouching
• Experience in illustration and drawing preferred
• Experience in screen printing and/or manufacturing/production preferred
• Experience in Procreate preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Receptive to creative direction and constructive criticism and ability to seamlessly implement feedback
• Ability to provide constructive feedback in a way that is effective and considerate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in product photography is preferred
• Ability to work independently on an assignment without supervision
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
