Redhook, Brooklyn - $165k - $185k - Estimator/PM
People who have bid & built public work are far and few between, so we know we might have to pay more above 'market' rate to attract the right person . So don't worry about years of experience (within reason, as much as we're sure a grad would love close to 200k we have to be realistic). We of course offer things like full benefits (dental, health, vision) and a 401k match (usually around 3-4%) along with bonuses. We think the bonuses are good, and so do out staff, nobody has left us in quite some time, so we like to think that's proof, especially in this market!
We are actually one of the most long-standing NYC contractors , we've been around roughly 80 years , we just don't have an online presence (hence using Heron Wolf to help find someone).
We have 35 in management, and 2 of our senior estimators are retiring. So we want to bring on someone that feels that perhaps a role closer to home might suit them especially if they have bid or build SCA, MTA, DASNY type work (up to $80M).
In this role, you will have access to the President , inputting on what projects we go at, and the overall direction of the firm. But we also appreciate some people want to bid and get home , so we have a role like that available if you don't want to be in the 'drivers seat'.
We understand the role is hard to fill, so we will be as flexible as possible to ensure we can attract the right person (bidding experience on public civil work).
