Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift (M-F 4pm - 1am)
Job Summary:
ERB Industries, Inc. is seeking a versatile and efficient Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift. This position combines the responsibilities of an Order Picker, Order Packer, and Shipping Manifester to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders from picking and packing to preparing shipping documentation. The position pays $16 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Order Picking:
- Read and interpret order sheets to determine items to be picked.
- Locate products in the warehouse using an RF scanner.
- Accurately pick and prepare items for shipment.
- Ensure picked items are free from damage and correctly labeled.
- Perform inventory counts as needed.
- Order Packing:
- Review order sheets to understand packing requirements.
- Pack products into boxes or containers according to order specifications.
- Ensure products are packed securely to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label and seal packages accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station.
- Shipping Manifesting:
- Review and prepare shipping documentation for outgoing orders.
- Ensure all shipping information is accurate and complete.
- Use shipping software to generate labels and manifests.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verify the contents of shipments against shipping documents.
- Maintain records of shipped orders.
- General Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order sheets, labels, and shipping documents.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and shipping software is a plus.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to work the 2nd shift schedule (M-F 4pm - 1am).
Compensation:
- This position pays $16 per hour.
