Job Description
A Successful Utility Locator will help to ensure that GAC construction projects can be performed without disrupting oil,
electric, cable, gas, sewer, or water lines. You will be locating and marking underground facilities and relaying
information to crews to prevent damage to underground facilities primarily but not limited to Water and Sewer.
Requirements •Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable
TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
•Thoroughly search for underground utilities by direct connection in a designated area, accurately marking the
location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each located section.
•Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
•Ability to communicate report findings and lead a productive discussion.
•Must be available to work hours as necessary as dictated by work volumes
