Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a day shift OR Circulator/Pre-Op/PACU position in Colorado, requiring strong skills across all three perioperative areas.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Hospital setting with 3 operating suites and a combined pre-op/PACU area
• Circulator, Pre-Op, and PACU responsibilities required within the surgical services department
• Surgical cases include general, OB/GYN, cataract surgeries, and orthopedics once or twice a month
• Work schedule is day shift Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 2:30pm
• Occasional late days required to complete daily case load
• Rotational surgical call, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
• Works alongside a single anesthesia provider and other circulating staff
• Direct patient care provided in pre-op, intra-op, and post-anesthesia phases
• Responsibilities include assessment, documentation, patient preparation, recovery, circulating cases, and assisting with instrument processing
• Serves as primary caregiver and may assist with patient education and staff support
• Adheres to infection control and organizational protocols consistent with IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN standards
• Reports to the Surgical Services Manager
• Holiday and rotational weekend call coverage required

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CO or compact RN license must be in hand
• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• At least 3 years of recent experience in Pre-Op, OR Circulator, and PACU roles (5 years preferred)
• ACLS certification required
• CNOR and scrub experience preferred
• Ability to perform under stress and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Able to stand, walk, and lift heavy loads for long periods
• Comfortable with blood, body fluids, and potential exposure to infectious diseases
