• Location: Peoria, IL 61637 (Illinois healthcare jobs)\n
• Facility Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Acute Cardiac Intermediate Unit\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n
• Start Date: December 8, 2025\n
• End Date: March 9, 2026\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), 3 shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2310 - $2470 per week\n
• Unit Details: 20 private, monitored beds\n
• Charting System: EPIC\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application in process)\n
• BLS certification (AHA required)\n
• ACLS preferred; CCRN or PCCN certification a plus\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or Cardiac ICU nursing experience\n
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills\n
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and titration of multiple critical care drips\n
• Experience with ventilated and tracheostomy patients, Swan Ganz catheters, external pacemakers, PICC, CVC, and arterial lines\n
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment\n
• Willingness to float to ICU and other stepdown units as needed\n

\n\nCVICU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver direct patient care to adult cardiac stepdown and ICU patients\n
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Philips monitoring systems\n
• Titrate and manage a variety of cardiac and critical care drips (dopamine, dobutamine, levophed, etc.)\n
• Operate and manage specialty intervention equipment including Swan Ganz catheters, external pacemakers, and arterial lines\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care\n
• Float to ICU and stepdown units as required\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC\n
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, organization, and compassion in all aspects of patient care\n
