Assist customers in selecting tools and hardware products that meet their needs, providing expert advice and product demonstrations.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
Maintain attractive merchandise displays by merchandising, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-organized and accessible.
Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while delivering exceptional customer service.
Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock, conducting stock replenishment, and supporting inventory audits.
Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries, scheduling demos, or assisting remote customers.
Supervise or assist with team members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment focused on customer satisfaction. Requirements
Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or hardware environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and benefits.
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math for transactions.
Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos to engage customers actively.
Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to support team efforts.
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences.
