Title Underwriter

Albany, NY

Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Title Underwriter for our client located in Albany, NY. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a competitive salary and generous compensation package!

The ideal candidates will have previous title agency or law firm experience, possess strong customer service and analytical skills, be a motivated self-starter, and enjoy working as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read abstracts of title, analyze potential title defects and prepare title reports.
• Ability to attend closings to accept title documents
• E-recording title documents with the county clerk’s offices, while possessing excellent writing and organizational skills.
• Experience with local real estate closing procedures, reading and understanding closing disclosures, bank and title documents.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of SoftPro Select
• Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information, meet deadlines and produce high quality work products.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience in New York title insurance business. Previous title agency or law office experience required.
• Notary public is ideal (not required)
• Familiarity with SoftPro Select is essential.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook & General office and computer experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly an apply acquired skills to complete projects independently.

Salary:

$52,000-$60,000
