Position

Surfaces and Coatings Researcher

• Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
• Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
• Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 Depending on Experience and Education
• Travel: 5%

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking an Surfaces and Coatings Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Surfaces and Coatings Researcher

• Work with a multidisciplinary team of ARL experimental and computational scientists.
• Conduct materials research in developing new organic and ceramic coatings.
• Conduct modification of material and multimaterial surfaces to control attributes like adhesion.
• Thermal conduction and spectral reflection; conduct research on materials that operate at extreme ambient temperatures.
• Conduct materials and concepts research for concealment; conduct multi-scale and predictive materials modeling.
• Recommend courses of action for internal and external Government research collaborations.
• Coordinate, prepare, and maintain supplies, materials, and equipment for use at laboratories.
• Prepare presentations and written documents summarizing efforts.

Minimum Qualifications of Surfaces and Coatings Researcher
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in STEM related field. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; is you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply

Primary Knowledge & Skills Desired of Surfaces and Coatings Researcher

• Experience working in a research environment (educational experience allowable).
• Experience in writing proposals, reports, technical program summaries, PowerPoint presentations, and journal publications.
