Job Summary:
Student employees in the Nursing Program will assist with the following duties: fill equipment orders that are requested by faculty; pick-up and deliver supplies/equipment to appropriate labs. Maintain laboratory inventory throughout the semester and restock at end of each semester. Clean mannequins, keep mannequins in proper working condition (with appropriate parts), and return mannequins to correct lab rooms as required weekly, but especially at end of semester. Report equipment not working to Medical Locked Storage and lab coordinator. Tidy and organize labs at the end of each week. Make hospital beds (in lab) following professional bed making standards. Keep linen inventory of each linen cart and restock as needed. Set up labs for nursing classes.
Additional position requirements:
* Excellent computer/keyboarding skills and customer service skills, working knowledge of MS Office Suite
* Must be detail oriented and willing to learn, take direction and follow through on projects
* Demonstrated critical thinking skills
* Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
Requirements for LCC Student Employment:
The primary purpose of student employment is to provide current LCC students the opportunity to acquire job skills and experiences during semesters in which they are attending classes as follows:
* Enrolled and actively attending the following minimum total LCC credit hours by semester:
* Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 6.0 credits (taken over 16-week period)
* Summer Semester = 3.0 credits (taken over 8-week period)
* 2.00 GPA minimum (unless it is the student's first semester of enrollment at LCC or approval to waive requirement is granted from the Student Employment Coordinator)
Note: International students (i.e. F-1 visa holders w/ valid I-20 issued by LCC) must meet the following minimum enrollment requirements each semester, in order to maintain employment eligibility per United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USICS):
* Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 12.0 credits (taken over 16-week period)
* Summer Semester = 3.0 credits (taken over 8-week period)
Preferred Qualifications:
* 3.00 GPA or higher
