We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our Accounting Shared Services Center in Birmingham, AL. The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accounting Manager.
Main duties will include supporting the business departments in the following areas:
Prepare/review:
Month end close journal entries
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Annual budgets
Quarterly forecasts
Monthly variance analysis
Ad hoc requests
Requirements include:
Strong accounting and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
The ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
The ability to manage multiple tasks to meet multiple deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of SOX compliance
Oracle experience is preferred
Television broadcast or media experience is preferred
