Job Description

SOLIDWORKS DESIGNERThe Designer will be responsible for the mechanical design of various machine parts and equipment components. This position can be filed by an entry level person or someone with experience. Professional supervision and mentoring will be available to entry level personnel.

The designer will be responsible for the following:

• Generating drawings specifications from field sketches, marked up concepts with the input from engineering and clients
• Review drawings and design directly with customers
  The breakdown of the position will be as following:
  
• 100% of the time they will be designing and drafting in Solidworks
  The designer is responsible for the design detailing of custom mechanical systems such as:
  1. Conveyors (roller beds, belt driven, vertical)
  2. Rotating equipment (roll mills, fans, pumps, compressors, processors)
  3. Motors, gear reducers, drive shafts and couplings
  Requirements:
  
• 1 to 5 years of experience designing with Solidworks (interns welcome)
• 3D modeling & detailing of drawings in other applications is a plus
• Experience with creating Bill of Materials (BOM) for drawings
• Experience and able to run Microsoft Office programs such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint
• Motivated to be deadline driven
• Flexible to working Saturdays and Sundays as needed during busy times in this business
• Knowledge and skills in other CAD applications (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD) are a plus
  Job Type: Full or Part time
  Schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday
