Job Description

Position Title: SMT Operator

Wage: $19/hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 9pm-5am

QPS Employment Group is hiring a SMT Operator for a company in Kenosha, WI. This is an associate to hire role.

SMT Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic SMT machines used in the production of the company's product
- Work from process sheets or written instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks
- Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances
- Follow all company Safety and ESD Program requirements; report all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions
- Properly handle and dispose all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by applicable SOP(s)

SMT Operator Requirements:
- Ability to lift items up to 5-10 pounds
- Must be able to sit entire shift and some standing 
- Must have excellent vision including the ability to distinguish between colors and varying shades of color
- Bending, stooping, and reaching throughout shift in order to handle replenishment duties
- Written and verbal communications skills a must
- Basic math knowledge
- Ability to identify electronic components highly preferred
- Experience in SMT operations
