Job Description

The Jerome Village Bar and Grille  is currently seeking a Bartender to join our team! 

$15 - $25 an hour! The Bartender is to ensure all guests are served ina prompt, efficient, courteous, and enthusiastic manner. 

Our associates earn dining and travel discounts, special offers from our business partners, and discount programs for selected cell phone providers along with a competitive pay and compensation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Maintains a neat and clear bar and floor.
• Conveys to his/her guests that he/she is genuinely interested in their satisfaction.
• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming habits explicitly follows the uniform code as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
• Follows with enthusiasm the purposeful hospitality standards as outlined by the company.
• Has a working knowledge of all food and beverages served in restaurant.
• Reads service standards an all associate bulletin boards each day, and has a working knowledge of, and is up to date on all procedures concerning charges, coupons, personal checks, special promotions and other discounts.
• Has a working knowledge of all registers. Rings each check properly, charges correct price for each item sold and if appropriate makes sure that each check turned into the kitchen is legible and properly abbreviated.
• Helps maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant, specifically his/her tables, side station, service bar, the expo line and any other area dealt with.
• Participates in controlling costs and minimizing wastes.
• Prepares all drinks quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all products and recipes served at the bar. Follows all procedures outlined in the manual.
• Charges the correct price for each drink sold. Maintains proper controls at the service and main bar at all times. Makes sure all drinks are rung up.

 Balances the drawer at the end of the shift.

• Participates in proper bar maintenance, cleaning, stocking, and setting- up.
• Tastes juices and mixes and checks all the garnishes to insure freshness and quality.
• Protects the liquor license at all times by checking I.D.’s properly, not serving drinks to intoxicated persons, etc. Has a thorough knowledge of local liquor laws and follows company procedures pertaining to laws.
• Restocks liquor bottles and maintains an accurate bottle par.
• Does any other duties requested by management.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous restaurant experience preferred
• Previous bar tending experience preferred
• Highly organized
• Good communication skills
• Excellent guest perception
