We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities: Designs and analyzes complex electro-mechanical components and systems. Conducts studies and testing on new and modified designs. Directs others in the development of design information for use in drawings and specifications. Serves as leader for small technical teams.

Your Challenge: \n - Identify and design tooling and fixtures to enable safe and efficient manufacturing of parts/assemblies
\n \n - Understand and apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design to Cost (DTC) concepts to development and production projects
\n \n - Understand and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing concepts during manufacturing and drawing review and development
\n \n - Plans, coordinates, and executes complex manufacturing engineering activities such as routine operational or methods analyses related to labor standards, reviews product/project flow data, tooling, equipment and labor requirements for use in conducting manufacturing operations to increase productivity and reduce production unit cost.
\n \n - Provide Shop support for assigned projects
\n \n - Provide field service and supplier support as necessary for assigned projects
\n \n - Develop and/or revise work instructions, routings, manufacturing processes/procedures, tool drawings and related manufacturing software for assigned projects
\n \n - Identify new and/or improved processes for reducing rework, cycle-time, and costs for assigned projects
\n \n - Participate in Kaizen Events, Process Mapping and Project Readiness reviews
\n \n - Ability to apply software specific to role such as: MS office, VISIO, SolidEdge, TeamCenter, Oracle and AutoCad
\n \n - Develop quotations for assigned product(s)
\n \n - Understands customer perspectives and inputs and takes appropriate responsive actions
\n \n - Leads project team or technical team meetings by setting the right environment so team member's ideas flow freely.
\n \n - Perform work in accordance with departmental procedures and instructions, CW policies, and safety, environmental, and security rules and guidelines

What You Bring: \n - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, Master's degree would be a benefit.
\n \n - Minimum prior work experience of 15 years in the area of mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a closely related engineering field.
\n \n - Significant experience in an industrial, shop or manufacturing environment.
\n \n - Effective communication skills.
\n \n - Ability to created models and drawings, present design reviews and coordinate multiple project responsibilities.
\n \n - Must be a team player.
\n \n - Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
\n \n - Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
\n \n

Experience/credentials that would be a plus: \n - Prior Defense, Nuclear, Power Generation or heavy manufacturing experience with rotating machinery.
\n \n - Experience with manufacturing processes, such as machining, welding, winding, or assembly.
\n \n - Experience with fixture or tooling design and manufacture
\n \n - Ability to tolerate and drive change.
\n \n - Learning agility.
\n \n - Ability to perform stress analysis for the design of lifting and handling equipment.
\n \n - 3D CAD package(s) (e.g. SolidEdge, Solid Works, Inventor, etc.).
\n \n - Microsoft Office.
