We are seeking a talented Scenic Carpenter to join our production team and support the creation of high-quality scenic elements for themed environments, events, theater, and custom build projects. Key Responsibilities

Scenic Carpentry & Fabrication

• Construct scenic elements, props, flats, platforms, and custom structures using wood, foam, plastics, and specialty materials.
• Interpret and build from technical drawings, shop plans, and design renderings.
• Operate a wide range of carpentry and fabrication tools (saws, routers, sanders, CNC equipment, etc.) with accuracy and efficiency.

Assembly & Installation

• Assemble components and scenic pieces to exact specifications.
• Assist with on-site installation, load-in, and strike as needed.

Quality Assurance

• Inspect completed work to ensure structural integrity and alignment with design standards.
• Identify and resolve fabrication or assembly issues quickly and effectively.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with designers, production managers, and other fabricators to bring creative concepts to life.
• Provide input to improve build methods, materials, and workflow.

Safety & Shop Care

• Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Maintain tools, workspaces, and materials in clean, organized condition.

Experience & Skills

• 1–2 years of scenic carpentry or fabrication experience (theatrical, live events, themed entertainment, or custom builds preferred).
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, joinery, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and assembly plans.
• Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and shop machinery.
• Problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced creative team.
