Your Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Perform all duties specific to your unit, implementing procedures and theories relevant to your practice area.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care to ensure seamless communication within the healthcare team.
• Conduct initial assessments upon patient admission and develop tailored care plans based on patient and family needs.
• Implement and modify care plans based on continuous evaluation and patient feedback.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve issues and foster a collaborative environment.
• Provide constructive feedback to peers and actively pursue your own professional development.
• Delegate tasks to healthcare team members and validate their completion throughout your shift.
• Administer medications while adhering to the five rights: Right Patient, Right Medication, Right Route, Right Dose, and Right Time.
• Maintain a positive attitude that promotes a healthy work environment and enhances patient healing.
• Utilize critical thinking to assess patient conditions and respond to changes promptly.
• Deliver competent care for patients with neurological conditions, ensuring immediate response to any changes.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days (American Heart Association) and a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Education: High School Diploma/GED and an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities.
