Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of patients? Join us in the CT8 Cardio/Pulm/Med/Surg unit, where your skills and compassion will shine!

Position Highlights

• Unit Size: 50 beds, split between two sides (A side: 24 beds, B side: 26 beds)
• Patient Population: Primarily cardiac patients, including those with cardiac drips and post-cardiac procedures, as well as pulmonary patients and medical-surgical overflow. We cater to adults aged 17 and older.
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4-6
• Department Culture: Fast-paced and collaborative, our unit thrives on strong communication and teamwork. We empower each other to drive patient care initiatives and foster a culture of inclusion.
• Skills & Equipment: You'll engage in full head-to-toe assessments, manage cardiac drips, and provide pre and post-procedural care. Familiarity with IV pumps, telemetry monitoring, and electronic EMR is essential.

Compensation & Benefits

We value your expertise and commitment:

• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
• Relocation Assistance: $5,000 for moves over 100 miles, or $2,500 for moves over 50 miles
• BSN Bonus: $2,500 for nurses with 1+ years of experience (External Applicants Only)

Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Education: Associate's Degree; H.S. Diploma/GED

Your Responsibilities

As a vital member of our team, you will:

• Perform all nursing duties specific to the unit's scope of service.
• Conduct initial assessments and develop tailored care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions and modify care plans based on continuous evaluation.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by addressing hazards and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure safe transitions during discharge.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position ranges from $33.68 to $57.93 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our team members.
