Remote IP Core Network Administrator Nokia / Ciena Join to apply for the Remote IP Core Network Administrator Nokia / Ciena role at Jobs via Dice Overview TEKsystems is seeking multiple Remote IP Core Network Engineers to provide core network monitoring and support for an Alaska-based ISP. This is a contract-to-hire position, fully remote. Responsibilities Support and monitor local area IP Core Network, including complex client-server environments. Install, configure, and support core network systems, applications, security, and configurations. Troubleshoot and optimize data communications hardware and software. Manage wireless data/IP and core network environments, including MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, and Data/IP systems. Provide technical support for incident resolution, including wireless telecommunication technologies and 5G networks. Perform project work related to platform growth, change management, configuration, and troubleshooting of routers and switches (Nokia, Cisco, Brocade, Juniper). Maintain network documentation, inventory, and perform daily operational checks. Generate performance reports, identify bottlenecks, and assist in system upgrades. Coordinate with engineers and business groups to resolve issues and ensure SLA compliance. Support network security measures and monitor network performance. Qualifications Experience managing large network platforms with strong organizational skills. Knowledge of routing, multicasting, high availability, security, and standards. Experience with SNMP, network management tools (Remedy, Cacti, Cisco Prime, etc.). Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Nokia NRS-I/II, SCTE DEP preferred. Ability to handle moderate stress and communicate effectively with customers and team members. Workplace & Compensation This is a fully remote position. Pay ranges from $50.00 to $65.00 per hour.
