Proposal Manager

We are working with a leading Defense client who is looking for a Proposal Manager to play a pivotal role in the Pursuit and Order Capture (P/OC) process (for DoD and Space customers). This position involves close collaboration with Capture Teams to manage the creation and delivery of responses to customer requests for proposals, information, and other customer-driven requirements in pursuit of new business. The Proposal Manager will work in conjunction with the Capture Center and team members and report directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deep understanding of the business development lifecycle, with direct experience in proposal planning, creation, and post-submission processes.
• Develop and oversee proposal schedules and timelines.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on Request for Proposals (RFPs) to senior management and other internal stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in writing, editing, and publishing technical and persuasive proposal content in a competitive environment.
• Lead and inspire teams to achieve business goals and ensure proposal success.
• Coordinate proposal reviews (Pink, Red, and Gold Team) to ensure all aspects of the proposal are properly supported.
• Manage proposal delivery to ensure compliance and quality, meeting customer timelines.
• Oversee logistical arrangements for proposal efforts, including IT, audio/video needs, and other resources.
• Manage the proposal process, including kick-off meetings, storyboarding, and key reviews.
• Provide guidance to content owners and subject matter experts in best practices for writing proposals that are responsive, clear, and persuasive.
• Conduct final document review, supervise production, and ensure timely submission of completed proposals.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience.
• MUST have experience with DoD Programs
• Some travel required to support proposal efforts in various locations.
