Job Description

Open Position: Property Accountant An accountant with 2-3 years of experience who can handle tasks like financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis. The candidate will work with various accounting software and should possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Salary Range - $75,000 to $90,000 Education and Licensing Requirements * Bachelor's Degree. * C.P.A. license or equivalent or sitting for CPA exam * Minimum 2-3 years' experience in preparing financial statements, audit engagements, and tax compliance. * Knowledge of accounting practices including GAAP and IFRS. * Yardi Software experience a plus Key Responsibilities and Skills: * Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards with GAAP and IFRS. * General Ledger Maintenance: Managing and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring proper recording of financial transactions. * Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement. * Accounting Software Proficiency: Utilizing accounting software like Microsoft Office, Yardi, or others to manage financial data and reporting. * Communication Skills: Effectively communicating financial information to colleagues, management, and potentially external stakeholders. * Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and resolving accounting issues, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing solutions. * Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects efficiently. Career Progression: * With experience, accountants can progress to a senior accountant role, potentially specializing in areas like tax, audit, or real estate reporting. * Further career advancement may lead to management positions, such as accounting manager or controller.
