PURPOSE of POSITION:


This position is responsible for orchestrating technical implementation projects ranging from small initiatives to major business projects. This includes planning, tracking, measuring, and reporting on status’ of projects through the entire implementation lifecycle according to ComResource project management standards. Interfaces with other internal departments and external Vendors to deliver business solutions.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. 40% Manage technical implementation projects to successful delivery on time and on budget. Typically includes scoping, estimating, planning, resourcing, tracking, measuring, reporting status, managing risks, support transition, and project closure. Projects may be custom development or implementations of third-party systems.
  2. 30% Manage implementation resources including employees, onshore or offshore consultants. Develop team and individual objectives in support of overall department objectives. Complete performance evaluations for team members.
  3. 10% Track, measure, and communicate progress to management and customers
  4. 10% Manage risk and make mitigating decisions or report appropriately as issues arise
  5. 10% Comply with and contribute to the development and refinement of project management processes


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree (course of study/major: Information Technology or Computer Science)
  2. Type of Credentials/Licenses: PMP Certified
  3. Related Work Experience: 6-8 years
  4. Project Management experience; managing multiple projects and/or software development initiatives.
  5. Experience with project/resource management tools, project financial tracking, risk management, and software development life cycle and project management life cycle processes and disciplines.
  6. Experience with EDI, B2B, and MFT related implementations
  7. Experience with IBM’s B2B Integrator and/or Sterling FileGateway is a plus
  8. Experience in one or more commercial or custom full life cycle SDLC and/or Project Management methodologies.
  9. Experience in managing projects for technical implementations in a real time, 24X7 environment involving numerous systems and subsystems and interdependencies.
  10. Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts.
  11. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  12. Experience facilitating meetings with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary.
  13. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects or initiatives.
  14. Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
  15. Demonstrated ability to make clear, quick decisions and judgments in time-sensitive, pressure situations.
  16. Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including delegating, mentoring, and coaching.
  17. Experience writing project plans and developing project schedules.
  18. Experience using MS Project or similar tools.
  19. Experience producing project status reports for multiple audiences
  20. Experience in risk management.
  21. Experience in change management.
  22. Demonstrated ability to ensure quality through the software lifecycle.
  23. Experience in change and scope management.
  24. Passion and ability in providing excellent customer service
  25. Job will require evening/weekend work to meet project deliverables.
