Essential Duties and Responsibilities Starting Salary: $19.50 Hour plus $1.75 shift differential for hours worked
Quarterly Bonus Hours: Bi-weekly set schedule 1st week Tues, Wed and Thurs 6pm-6am 2nd week: Monday 10pm-6am, Tues, Wed and Thurs 6pm-6am
- Ensures quality standards by studying production schedule, manufacturing and customer specifications; ensuring complete and accurate data; running jobs to specs and standards: verifying & recording film weights, production transactions (labels, SMP, etc), utilizing inventory & batch numbering system.
Works safely by reviewing, clarifying, following safety rules/procedures including proper use of PPE equipment i.e. steel tipped shoes, hearing and eye protection and respirators (any associate required to wear a respirator must adhere to official OSHA standards Respiratory Protection Standard (official paragraph 29 CFR1910.134(g)(1)(1)(A); by handling materials and operating equipment with safety as primary objective; bringing safety risks to management. Responsible for collecting/disposing of hazardous waste into proper drums. Also, responsible for labeling/sealing/storing drums properly before being sent offsite for disposal. Mixing associate must receive DOT/RCRA and Dunmore Hazardous waste training.
- Continuously meets position standards as established for set-ups, clean-ups, waste, yield, productivity
- Documents operations by following quality standard requirements; by noting order output, material usage, documenting losses: scrap, yield, manufacturing and vendor rejections; calculates basic math, machine counters, other gauges and apparatuses; filling in required paperwork per production instructions.
- Completes operations by obtaining Quality Assurance approval, segregating and or marking rejects; recording and summarizing process/production per department production instructions.
- Cooperates with department schedule by working the standard shift as well as extended hours and sixth and seventh day shifts.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing basic maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Supports continuous improvement by improving own skills and knowledge, working well individually and in a team environment; recommending improvements to quality, service, and processes.
- Supports company agenda by participating in meetings and activities, participating in customer visits and audits, contributing to team efforts, and providing additional support to Company, as necessary to meet departmental and corporate needs.
- Maintains company reputation by complying with government regulation, preserving proprietary information, and by representing the Company in a professional manner.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training, participating in professional societies and establishing personal networks
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Cooperates with company and departments by working the standard shift as well as extra hours, as needed; by adhering to, and recommending improvements to safety, culture, and operational mission, vision, goals, projects, rules etc.
- Keeps supervisor informed by communicating performance, activities and non-conformances; by communicating safety, productivity concerns.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities: - Demonstrate ability in - Proficiently setting-up and running machine, machine mechanics, material knowledge, analytical thinking, trouble shooting, problem solving, mathematical aptitude, reading & converting ruler measurements; excellent attention to details, and effective communication skills. Aptitude in compounding, chemicals, & process improvement.
- Additional Skills: Incorporating 5S, lean manufacturing, set up reduction initiatives. Ability and drive to work in team environment, emphasizing safety, productivity, and improving operational processes.
- Computer knowledge in fundamental applications.
- Physical - must be able to differentiate between slight color variations and be able to read small print; working in manufacturing areas.
Education and Experience - Education/Experience- Education as usually obtained from a High School diploma, experience in machine operations, coating or mixing experience a plus.
Physical Demands - OFFICE / TRAVEL - Standing/Sitting for extended periods
- Walking/Bending/Stooping
- Lifting Requirements: 50+ pounds
- Travel by air, rail, auto (5% of time)
- Work in manufacturing area
- Exposures - Odors, Fumes, Noise, Flammable and/or hazardous Chemicals, Temperature, Vision strain, Moving parts.
