Job Description

Product Operations Manager
\n
Location: New York City, NY (In-Office)\n
Employment Type: Full-Time\n
Salary Range: $120,000 – $155,000, commensurate with experience
\n
About LoanBud
\n
LoanBud is a rapidly expanding financial technology platform dedicated to SBA financing, connecting entrepreneurs to a nationwide network of lenders. We build software and processes that remove friction from small-business lending and help entrepreneurs move faster, with greater certainty, through complex financing decisions.
\n
Position Overview
\n
LoanBud is hiring a Product Operations Manager to sit at the intersection of product vision, execution, and quality. This role is responsible for translating C-suite product vision into clear requirements, ensuring exceptional product quality through rigorous QA, and continuously improving user journeys across internal tools and customer-facing software.\n
\n
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the details—someone who can test, validate, and refine software for long periods without losing focus. You will play a critical role in ensuring that every release is clearly defined, thoroughly tested, well-documented, and successfully rolled out to teams of 50+ users.
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
Product Requirements & PRDs
\n
•\tTranslate leadership vision and business needs into clear, structured Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).\n
•\tDefine workflows, edge cases, constraints, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.\n
•\tMaintain a clear source of truth for product requirements and decisions.
\n
Jira Ticketing & Delivery Support
\n
•\tBreak PRDs into well-scoped Jira tickets with detailed acceptance criteria.\n
•\tMaintain backlog clarity, ticket hygiene, and sprint readiness.\n
•\tAct as the day-to-day bridge between Product, Engineering, and Operations.
\n
Quality Assurance (QA) & Testing
\n
•\tOwn end-to-end QA across features, releases, and workflows.\n
•\tCreate and execute test plans, test cases, and regression testing procedures.\n
•\tPerform deep, methodical testing across long sessions, identifying edge cases and inconsistencies.\n
•\tEnsure features are production-ready before release—not after issues surface.
\n
UX & User Journey Optimization
\n
•\tContinuously review and optimize user journeys across internal and external tools.\n
•\tIdentify friction points, unclear flows, and usability issues.\n
•\tPartner with Design and Engineering to improve clarity, efficiency, and adoption.
\n
Implementation & Internal Rollouts
\n
•\tLead readiness and rollout efforts for new features and systems across teams of 50+ users.\n
•\tCoordinate training, documentation, and internal communications ahead of launches.\n
•\tEnsure new functionality is understood, adopted, and used correctly.
\n
Documentation & Enablement
\n
•\tCreate and maintain product documentation, SOPs, release notes, and internal guides.\n
•\tCapture recurring questions and convert them into durable documentation.\n
•\tEnsure Credit, Operations, and Customer-facing teams are prepared for product changes.
\n
Customer & Support Mindset
\n
•\tApproach product work with a customer-success and support-oriented mindset.\n
•\tReproduce reported issues and investigate root causes.\n
•\tFeed real-world usage insights back into product improvements.
\n
Requirements
\n
•\t5+ years in Product Operations, Product Delivery, Technical Business Analysis, or similar roles.\n
•\tProven experience writing PRDs, Jira tickets, and acceptance criteria.\n
•\tDemonstrated ability to perform deep, sustained QA testing with extreme attention to detail.\n
•\tExperience rolling out new software or systems to teams of 50+ users.\n
•\tStrong understanding of UX principles and user journey optimization.\n
•\tComfortable working closely with developers and understanding system behavior (no coding required).\n
•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n
•\tHighly organized, methodical, and reliable.
\n
Nice to Have
\n
•\tExperience in fintech, lending, or regulated software environments.\n
•\tPrior customer support or customer success experience.\n
•\tExperience coordinating UAT, releases, or internal change management.\n
•\tBackground working in fast-growing startups or scale-ups.
\n
