Education Level:

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant

Licenses/Certifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Additionally, you will need to:

• Complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.
• Successfully pass the board exam on the next available exam date.
• Fulfill continuing education requirements related to DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Certification, as applicable.

Essential Functions:

• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follow the therapist's plan of care, adjusting treatment based on patient response while documenting all communications.
• Produce documentation in line with the Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Complete annual education as assigned for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program compliance.

Department Specific Job Functions:

• Implement intervention plans according to the Physical Therapist's treatment plan, focusing on functional activities that meet the emotional and physical needs of patients and families.
• Utilize standardized outcome measures to accurately reflect functional performance.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and significant others throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Communicate effectively with the medical team regarding patient status and treatment recommendations.

The compensation range for this position is $22.40 - $37.41 per hour . This range reflects a good faith minimum and maximum for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including experience, qualifications, and location.
