About the Role Retro Plumbing, a trusted leader in residential new construction plumbing, is looking for a skilled and motivated New Construction Plumber to join our expanding team in Kingman, AZ. This hands-on role is perfect for professionals who excel in new construction plumbing and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Journeyman credentials are preferred, but highly experienced plumbers without certification are encouraged to apply. Residential service plumbing experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities - Install complete plumbing systems for residential new construction, including water lines, drain lines, and fixtures (e.g., hot water heaters, dishwashers, garbage disposals, drop-in sinks).
- Perform underground plumbing work from street connections, rough-ins, inspections, and finish work.
- Pre-fabricate plumbing components in the shop for on-site efficiency.
- Interpret and execute blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate system layouts.
- Conduct pipe threading, assembling, and welding for efficient system installation.
- Lead and train a team of two plumbers to maintain project focus and progress.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure plumbing systems comply with codes and function correctly.
- Work at heights (ladders, roofs) and in diverse environmental conditions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including materials and completed work.
Qualifications - Experience: Minimum 4+ years in plumbing, particularly new construction.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Copper, PVC, PEX piping, and gas line installations.
- Tools: Must have basic plumbing tools, including tapes, hammers, pliers, wrenches, and buckets (company provides power tools).
- Blueprint Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Leadership: Experience in leading small teams and coordinating on-site activities.
- Physical Stamina: Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and climbing for long periods.
- Tech Skills : Experience with plumbing software (e.g., HouseCall Pro) is a plus.
- Other: Excavation machinery experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements - Reliable transportation to Kingman, AZ.
- Willingness to relocate to Kingman, AZ before starting work (relocation required).
