Overview:

The Merchandiser/Driver Helper role assists the Delivery Driver with delivering the Companys goods in a safe and timely manner. The Driver Helper also stocks and merchandises products in retail accounts to ensure that products are available for purchase by consumers.

Responsibilities:

Merchandising activities as well as assisting the Delivery Driver in all aspects of the performance of their duties. This includes but is not limited to:

• Move products from storage areas to shelves.
• Rebuild product displays in retail accounts.
• Ensure that delivery and merchandising standards are achieved according to company standards.
• Verify accounts are properly rotated according to rotation policies to prevent overage product from reaching the consumer.
• Acquire a working knowledge of code dating and ensure that product moves to the shelf on an oldest code first basis to prevent out of code products from reaching the consumer.
• Communicate changes and/or opportunities with individual accounts and the general market to the Pre-Sales Personnel, Route Supervisor and the Area Sales Manager.
• Develop a working knowledge of credit, State & Federal laws/regulations, and Company policies relative to the completion of duties.
• Execute the pre-planned objectives assigned by the Sales Representative for each account.
• Complete Pre and Post-Trips properly on any equipment used for that days delivery, promptly reporting any problems to the Fleet Manager.
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner and keep all equipment/vehicles clean.
• Record all daily paperwork involving invoices and collections in a neat and comprehensive manner.
• Balance daily paperwork to verify that collections match invoices.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all customers, internal and external.

Skills & Requirements:

• Must be located in Siskiyou County.
• Weekend availability required.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. and lift up to 170 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items as needed.
• Weekend availability required.
• Valid Class C drivers license required.
• Proof of valid personal car insurance required.
