MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Panda Pediatrics is looking for a fun, energetic, self-motivated, caring front desk receptionist with a friendly smile and a cheerful demeanor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet all patients and families with a warm smile.
• Check insurance prior to patient appointments.
• Check patients in and out.
• Be able to communicate to parents about any copays and or other fees due at time of service, and collect these payments.
• Schedule patients according to office guidelines.
• Multitask multiple phone lines.
• Scan new patient charts and consult notes into EMR software.
• Keep waiting rooms organized and clean.
• Manage office workflow/ schedule.
• Balance charges and receipts at the end of each day.
• Computer skills include Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must want to work with children.
• Prefer receptionists with at least one year of experience in a front desk position at an outpatient medical office.

SKILLS:

• Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to multitask.
• Highly responsible and self-motivated.
• Be people oriented.
• Be child friendly and enjoy working with children.
• Competent with Microsoft Word and Excel.

EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $ 20.00 based on experience.
