**Job Title: Industrial Forklift Operator / Yard Switcher**
Location: Newark, NJ
Hours: Shift available:
+ 2nd shift: **2pm-10:30pm**
+ 3rd shift: **10pm-6:30am**
+ Schedule will include 2 days off/week - Saturday or Sunday may be required
Pay: $19/hr - $20/hr

**Job Description**
Join our team in the vital role of Yard Switcher, where you will be responsible for securing and organizing a container storage yard. Your daily tasks will include utilizing a yard switcher and pickup truck, directing drivers during equipment pickups and drop-offs, conducting gate security transactions, lifting and relocating improperly parked equipment, as well as performing security checks and inventory counts.
**Hard Skills**
+ Yard switcher or yard jockey experience
+ Experience working outdoors
+ Ability to work in various weather conditions
+ Proficiency in using yard jockey, and large industrial forklifts
+ Industrial Forklift Experience
**Soft Skills**
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks
+ Strong communication skills
+ Detail-oriented
+ Ability to perform manual labor tasks
**Job Type**
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6-7 Month(s) with an opportunity to go perm.
**Work Site**
This is a fully on-site position in Newark, New Jersey. This position includes three different shifts with opportunities for overtime on weekdays and weekends. The role requires working outdoors in a shipping container storage yard under various weather conditions. Candidates must wear steel-toed boots on-site.
