Position: Sports Manager

Classification: Full-Time Hourly

Reports to: The Centre Director

About Us:

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.

Position Summary:

The Centre Program & Event Coordinator will provide leadership and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Centre sports. This person is also responsible for seeking new and expanded sports opportunities for the Centre members and guests. Work requires creative and strategic thinking to develop sports programs that attract more clientele for the Centre and promote an environment of Christ-centered entertainment, wellness, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

· Cast vision, plan, and execute sports programming

· Proactively communicate information to parents and stakeholders in a timely manner

· Intentionally recruit staff and volunteers who support the mission, vision, and values of the Centre

· Train and lead support staff to execute programs devoted to excellence

· Develop innovative programming that supports the Centre’s mission

· Develop age-appropriate training and game scenarios to foster skill and spiritual growth among players

· Expand sports programs in accordance with strategic and operating plans

· Remain current with other Lenawee County sports programs

· Serve as the face for Centre sports programming on event days and in the community

· Develop age-appropriate spiritual lessons and lead staff in integrating them with daily practice and game situations

· Evaluate program effectiveness and adapt to changing market conditions

· Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

· Christian Faith:

o Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

o Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.

· Educational Background/Experience:

· A Christ-centered life and commitment to excellence.

· CPR/First-Aid/AED certification or the ability to acquire certification

· Experience in envisioning and executing events that go beyond the expectations of the participants

· A passion for excellent customer service, detail-oriented, organized, and efficient

· Assertive nature to deal with conflicts in a healthy and God honoring way

· Strong communication skills to customers, peers, and management

· Capable in basic Microsoft Office applications and comfort with other software applications

· A strong sense of aesthetics and what is pleasing to the eye

· Enjoy people of all ages and the opportunity to interact with them

· Ability to enforce policies and procedures in a positive manner

· Ability to stand and walk outside for extended periods of time

· Must possess excellent time-management skills and be able to meet deadlines

· Ability to lift 25 pounds
