Human Resources Manager

Holy Family Senior Living is a 5-Star Continuous Care Retirement Community in historic Bethlehem, PA. We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and authentic Human Resources Manager to fill an essential role in our Human Resources Office.

HFSL is in search of a knowledgeable, self-motivated human resources professional to focus on recruiting and onboarding talent for our organization. The HR Manager is the heart of the HR team, providing high-quality customer service and talent acquisition for our fast-paced, high-volume HR office.

If you are highly efficient and organized, then you will be successful in this role. Solid knowledge of HR functions is required so you can immediately contribute in making HFSL a better place to work!

The HR Manager will be a committed and approachable person with high character and skills. The goal is to recruit qualified candidates and provide excellent assistance and support to employees and managers.

We are looking for someone who can help us make the transition from manual applicant tracking and onboarding to electronic!

Responsibilities include:

Recruitment

  • Develop sourcing and recruitment methods to fill open positions with quality staff.
  • Identify recruitment sources (schools, job postings, online boards, networks, social media, networking events etc.) to help further the HFSL’s brand among potential candidates
  • Review resumes, conduct phone prescreens and schedule interviews.
  • Provide HR Director, executive team and hiring managers/directors with regular feedback on search status, candidates, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Make job offers and ensures pre-employment requirements are completed timely
  • Follows up with new staff throughout first 90 days to ensure a smooth and successful onboarding and work experience.

Human Resources

  • Complete onboarding of new employees.
  • Support all HR office functions and answer questions
  • Maintain attendance and personnel records.
  • Host monthly New Employee Orientation.
  • Updates bulletin boards, job postings, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources/relevant field; or HR Credentials (HRCI or SHRM certification)
  • 3+ years of proven experience in human resources
  • Prior recruiting or talent acquisition experience is required!
  • Demonstrated understanding of employment laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of iSolved is a plus
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability
  • Must be a friendly and skilled self-starter who takes initiative and can hit the ground running in a high energy, high-volume HR office.
  • The equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
