Job Description

The intern in this program will handle several Human Resources related duties within the HR Department. May be assigned to an HR Project for research and development. This will be a paid internship.

Primary Accountabilities and Deliverables:

Responsibilities, projects, and assistance that may be assigned:

• Assist with Recruitment of qualified Applicants
• May Attend Job Fairs.
• May review time sheets and schedules to verify attendance tracking logs
• May review training logs and assist with training program schedules

Communications:

• Ability to communicate effectively to teams, management and outside customers and vendors.
• Ability to compose written correspondences by email, letter and fax if necessary

Customer Service/Quality :

• Maintain Texas Tissues high standards of customer service by providing quality product

Technical:

• Ability to apply common sense, technical education and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form as well as addressing any issue or problems.

Safety:

Ability to follow company safety policies and use safety devices as required

Working Conditions:

• Physical Ability and Demand : Must be able to lift, sit, stand, or walk for a period. Tasks involve the ability to exert physical effort in sedentary to movement type work, but which may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of minimal weight. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a sedentary or movement type work. The following are the parameters this job may require:

• Walking: Constantly for up to 8 hours
• Standing: Constantly for up to 8 hours
• Lifting: Rarely 0-20 lbs.
• Pushing, Pulling, Twisting and Climbing: Occasionally
• Ability to stoop kneel or crawl if needed

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Enrolled in an Human Resources Related Major or Minor
• Ability to utilize Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Office, etc.)
• Strong analytical, statistic and organizational skills
