Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose and repair mechanical issues, manage parts inventory, and support entry-level mechanics with complex repairs. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring vehicles are returned to traffic centers and collaborate with vendors and drivers across various roles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory and work order documentation efficiently.
• Support entry-level mechanics with complex repairs and guidance.
• Return vehicles to traffic centers, requiring a valid CDL.
• Collaborate with vendors and interact with drivers to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in diesel and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with tractor trailers, life gates, and transmission systems.
• Knowledge of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Ability to work in tight spaces and lift over 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.
• Experience working under trucks for extended shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment where you will be involved with various technologies including diesel, hydraulic, and CNG systems. The role requires flexibility with shifts, including weekends and holidays, ensuring a variety of work experiences. Safety gear is provided, and adherence to safety standards is paramount.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kathleen, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.22 - $36.72/hr.
