Role:

To improve overall employee effectiveness/performance through the application of individual and group training techniques and programs that are consistent with Align Credit Union's organizational priorities. To support the delivery of financial education activities directed at the communities that support Align Credit Union's strategic plan. Areas of concentration are community engagement and financial literacy.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Conducts, attends and supports financial literacy and community engagement activities and initiatives. this includes, but is not limited to, speaking with various size audiences and engaging in dialog with a diverse group of individuals.
• Supports the community and Align Credit Union employees with group instruction, demonstrations, and workshops focused on educating and improving financial literacy. Selects and/or develops training aids such as handbooks, visual aids, and tutorials that support the educational initiatives.
• Cultivates and maintains community relationships consistent with Align Credit Union's Strategic Plan. Supports Community Reinvestment Act initiatives. Represents Align Credit Union in a professional manner to community leaders, schools, businesses, and members.
• Develops and delivers presentations to a variety of public groups/agencies within our market.
• Increases awareness of the products & services Align Credit Union offers and promotes the credit union's cooperative spirit and commitment to the communities we serve.
• Promotes and contributes to the LID community initiatives consistent with Align Credit Union's Strategic Plan.
• Develop and deliver programs and initiatives for members and employees to educate and promote social responsibility.
• Works with management to prepare relevant and informative financial education materials, as needed.
• Support retail staff at community events, as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Bilingual-Spanish/English or Khmer/English preferred.
