LIU is seeking student workers to assist and work alongside the Roc Nation Technical Director throughout the academic year and summer break. Objectives range from supervision of theater use to assisting in student events and showcases. Applicants should have knowledge and enthusiasm for live sound and A/V technology. This position will include weekends and some evenings. Student Technicians will report to the Roc Nation Technical Director.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Provide A/V support for students and faculty during events
* Supervise student and faculty use of space
* Maintain Kumble Theater and A/V gear
* Operate mixing and lighting console
* Deploy microphones and other necessary equipment for clients in the space
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
* 1-3 years of experience in live sound or events
* Strong base knowledge of live audio practices
* Exemplary oral and written communication skills
* Organized
* Detail-oriented work ethic
* Strong troubleshooting skills Requirements:
* Enrolled at LIU Brooklyn
* Eligible for Federal Work Study
