Experienced Offset Press Operator

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 DOE

This position is: Hourly; Full-Time

Print NW is seeking an experienced Offset Printing Press Operator to join our team!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret job orders to set up the press for various printed products.
• Perform make-ready, operation, and maintenance of multi-unit 40" Komori sheetfed offset presses.
• Maintain ink and water balance and ensure color consistency throughout the print runs.
• Monitor print quality and make necessary adjustments to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with offset printing presses as they occur.
• Lead and direct the press helper, ensuring efficient workflow and quality output.
• Participate in client press okays to ensure satisfaction with the final product.

Requirements and Experience:

• Required 2 years of experience operating multi-unit 40" offset sheetfed presses; experience with Komori presses and UV printing is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good eye for color and attention to detail.
• Ability to direct and lead a team, specifically the press helper.
• Strong understanding of pre-press operations and familiarity with press workflow software.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Capable of bending, stretching, pushing, pulling and moving as required to service machinery.
• Visual inspection of machines is necessary.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
