Position Summary

Maintains the electrical system and equipment throughout the plant. Installs upgrades, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical safety to machinery and building.

Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• \n
  • Installation of high voltage equipment for power distribution.
  \n
  • • Wiring of machine and support equipment.
  \n
  • • Additions and upgrades to production machinery.
  \n
  • • Troubleshoots machines and equipment.
  \n
  • • Addition, repair and maintenance of the computer network system.
  \n
  • • Calibrations and documentation of the computer network system.
  \n
  • • Calibrations and documentation of equipment on machines and building.
  \n
  • • Work with contractors on the maintenance and repair of electrical system.
  \n
  • • Order parts for building, machines and plant lighting.
  \n
  • • Complete MWO & PM cards as required.
  \n
  • • On-call for 2nd and 3rd shifts if breakdowns or electrical problems occur.
  \n
  • Troubleshooting with customers on equipment out in the field.
  \n

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

\n

Preferred Qualifications - (Sr. Electrician)

• College or University program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

\n

• Ability to read blueprints.

\n

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.

\n

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

\n

• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.

\n

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

\n

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.

\n

• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.

\n

• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.

\n

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

\n

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing environment.

\n

• Exposed to moving mechanical parts.

\n

• Hearing protection recommended.

\n

• Hair, beard nets and smocks required.

\n

• Exposure to odors associated with manufacturing.
