Omni Underground is growing fast—and we’re looking for skilled Directional Drillers and Locators to help launch new HDD crews.

$28 - $36 hourly

Directional Driller Requirements:

• Experience: At least 2 years running Vermeer or Ditch Witch HDD rigs on active utility projects
• Drilling Skills: Able to complete accurate bores under streets, driveways, and tight utility corridors
• Reading Prints: Can read bore maps, follow plans, and make real-time adjustments based on ground conditions
• Mechanical Know-How: Comfortable troubleshooting issues, loading tooling, and performing rig inspections
• Production Focused: Keeps the drill moving while staying on target with bore depths, angles, and spacing
• Safety-Minded: Works with awareness in live environments and around active utilities

Locator Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year using DigiTrak Falcon, SE, or Subsite locating systems
• Locating Skills: Accurately tracks, marks, and communicates bore paths in dirt, asphalt, and crowded areas
• Utility Knowledge: Understands depth, pitch, roll, and spacing for different utility types
• Hands-On: Can help with potholing, pit setup, spotting, and pulling product
• Teamwork: Stays in sync with the drill operator to keep bores clean, safe, and efficient
• Willing to Work: Helps with digging, cleanup, and general crew tasks when needed

General Requirements (Both Positions):

• License: Must have a valid Class A CDL
• Drug-Free: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Driving Record: Clean DMV report required
• Physical: Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in all conditions
• Work Ethic: Shows up ready to work, respects the crew, and follows safety standards
• Travel: Must be open to working across various Central Valley job sites
