Salary:
OHO Interactive is looking for a Digital and Content Strategist to lead goal-driven, user-centric strategy engagements and shape our industry-leading content strategy approach and deliverables for website projects. In this role, you will join a cross-disciplinary team and partner with a variety of clients in higher education, healthcare, nonprofits, and other industries to deliver sustainable, holistic, and innovative digital communications solutions.
Responsibilities
- Drive overall digital strategy engagements and implementations for assigned clients
- Lead discovery sessions (stakeholder interviews, focus groups, workshops, etc.) to capture both client and user needs, as well as identify both opportunities and risks for OHO
- Accountable for successful completion and delivery of discovery activities by project team, including audits, user research, and other deliverables
- Develop and present strategy roadmap to client, reflecting creative problem-solving and holistic, sustainable approaches conceived with input from relevant team members, including information architects/UX designers, content strategists, and developers;
- Synthesize inputs from myriad discovery activities to form a clear, cohesive strategic approach
- Able to recommend changes not just to platforms and presentation but also underlying process(es)
- Debrief internal project team on findings/recommendations
- Ensure subsequent project deliverables (e.g. sitemap, wireframes) align to defined strategy
- Partner with user research lead to identify appropriate research methodology, analyze results, and draw relevant conclusions
- Partner with digital marketing team to identify relevant implications and opportunities for SEO, measurement/analytics, digital advertising, website personalization, and other digital marketing approaches
- Identify technical considerations, if applicable, and problem-solve in partnership with relevant development team members
- Account for post-launch considerations, ranging from governance needs to digital marketing opportunities
- Finalize KPIs and tangible success metrics for each project, including both client-facing and internal-facing project goals
- Develop and ensure the quality of OHO’s industry-leading content strategy deliverables
- Accountable for ongoing iterative improvement of and quality assurance for content strategy process and deliverables
- Responsibilities include both oversight and delivery of content strategy work
- Relevant deliverables include but are not limited to website content strategies, messaging architecture, content audits, content templates, style guides, editorial workshops, governance recommendations
- Oversee work done by contractors, such as copywriting
- Contribute to company sales and marketing efforts as needed (e.g. writing posts for company blog, helping create sales proposals, talking to prospective clients)
Ideal Candidate
- Significant experience (minimum 3-5 years) in a role involving digital strategy, content strategy and/or user experience design
- Talent in building and managing relationships
- Strong oral communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable advocating for and dialoguing with clients about recommended approaches
- Ability to facilitate client and internal workshops and group sessions
- Excited to work with a team that values client and stakeholder collaboration to achieve objectives
- Ability to produce a catalogue of relevant, current solutions for client needs by maintaining a general understanding of all things digital
- Thrives when working and collaborating in a cross-disciplinary environment
- Big picture thinker who is also capable of laying out clear, detailed tactics
- Agency experience a plus but not required
- Higher ed and/or healthcare experience a plus but not required.
- Experience with content-intensive websites with multiple layers of stakeholders helpful.
- Experience with measurement/analytics and SEO helpful, both in regard to setting project strategy and ongoing post-launch maintenance
- Experience with other digital marketing approaches a plus

- Candidates should be comfortable traveling nationally a minimum of 2 times a year for company and/or client meetings.
