SALARY: Full-time (A-Status): $7,365.73 - $8,435.09 Monthly
Part-time (C-Status): $338.66 - $387.82 Full Daily
$187.45 - $214.66 Half Day
Hourly as needed (F-Status): $42.33 - $48.48 Hourly

ABOUT THE COURT Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 40 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,500 full-time Court employees. The Court has an annual budget of more than $855 million.
ABOUT THE POSITION Los Angeles Superior Court is seeking dynamic, well-qualified, and highly-motivated individuals to fill full-time (A-Status), part-time (C-Status), and hourly as needed (F-Status) Court Interpreter positions . Under supervision, Court Interpreters perform a wide variety of language interpretation activities on an assigned and as-needed basis for Los Angeles Superior Court and for persons doing business with the courts. Incumbents perform duties as an interpreter for courtroom and other legal proceedings, which may include, but are not limited to: arraignments, preliminary hearings, pre-trial conferences, and court trials.

BENEFITS (full-time) Choices Benefit Plan - Benefits may be purchased using a tax free monthly benefits allowance between $757.46 - $1,632.60 (based on number enrolled in medical coverage).
Deferred Compensation Plan (457) - Optional tax-deferred income plan that includes a County match of up to 4% of employee's salary.
Vacation - All permanent employees and other designated categories of employees are eligible to earn paid vacation based on years of service.
Sick leave - Depending on the length of service and employment categories, up to one day of full pay per month of service is accrued monthly for qualifying service.
Holidays - 14 days per year.
Bereavement leave
Retirement Plan - A retirement plan is provided to full-time, permanent employees.
The Commuter Benefit Plan (CBP) - Allows employees to pay for eligible public transit expenses using pre-tax dollars (up to IRS limits).

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS To qualify, you must meet one of the following selection requirements at the time of application:
Option I: Certified as a Court Interpreter in a designated language in Los Angeles County by the Judicial Council of California.
Option II: Registered as a Court Interpreter in a non-designated language in Los Angeles County by the Judicial Council of California.
