Position Summary: Spectrum Control, Inc. has an opening for an engaging, self-motivated security professional to join its Global Trade & Security team as the Corporate Security Manager & FSO. In this high-visibility role, you’ll lead the corporate National Industrial Security Program (NISP), mentor part-time FSOs/AFSOs across multiple cleared sites, develop and deliver training and outreach, support DCSA and other Agency assessments, and conduct internal security reviews and investigations. You’ll help safeguard our people, facilities, assets, and information. FOCI experience is preferred.

Compensation Range: $120,000 - $150,000.00 annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate FSO & Security Program Leadership: As the corporate FSO, this position owns corporate NISP compliance and is required to maintain security policies/procedures and implement local site compliance with government and company requirements for safeguarding information and physical security of facilities. Manage the security program for the facilities by maintaining its clearance as well as help employees obtain and maintain personnel security clearances.
  • Reporting & Governance: Prepare/submit FCL actions (e.g., change conditions, sponsorship packages), suspicious contact and other required reports; maintain program metrics and leadership briefings.
  • Site Oversight & Mentoring Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO). Plays a critical role in security education, training and awareness, in threat awareness and counterintelligence. Guides and mentors part-time FSOs/AFSOs at cleared sites; standardize practices, track compliance, and drive corrective actions following self-inspections and DCSA reviews.
  • Internal Assessments: Plan and work with the sites on security self-inspections, security reviews, and readiness assessments; close findings and continuously improve controls.
  • Training & Outreach: Conduct security education and awareness for all levels; deliver role-based training and outreach to strengthen culture and readiness.
  • Investigations: Lead security investigations (incidents, violations, suspicious activities) and coordinate response with internal partners and government stakeholders as appropriate. Support trade compliance and legal investigations when required, and, when necessary, assist in the preparation of voluntary disclosures.
  • Controlled Information: In addition to monitoring and managing classified program information, assist with processes and Technology Control Plans (TCPs) related to CUI and ITAR/EAR export-controlled technical data in collaboration with Global Trade Compliance and IT/Cyber.
  • Liaison: Coordinate with DCSA and other government representatives; utilize Government systems (DISS/NBIS/NISS and others) as well as related internal tools for personnel/facility workflows.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience: 7–10 years of progressive security management experience (aerospace/defense/government contracting preferred) and FSO experience in cleared industry; multi-site oversight a plus.
  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret required
  • Certifications (preferred): CPP®, PSP®, or ISP®.
  • FOCI experience preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid role based near Marlborough, MA or Fairview, PA (other cleared site locations considered); onsite presence at corporate office and other cleared sites as needed.
  • Travel required throughout the year to U.S. cleared sites for security support, assessments, training, and compliance activities.
  • Occasional after-hours response for time-sensitive security matters.
