Job Summary:

The Chemical Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining chemical processing and packaging equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. The role involves adhering to safety and environmental standards, performing equipment inspections, and supporting quality control operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate chemical packaging and processing equipment, including Calciner, Ribbon Blender, and HTLP systems.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot operational issues and report equipment problems to supervisors.
• Inspect, clean, and perform minor repairs on processing equipment.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and assist maintenance personnel when needed.
• Draw and submit product samples for Quality Control (QC) analysis.
• Maintain accurate logbook entries and communicate effectively with other shift personnel.
• Ensure cleanliness of the work area and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety and operational standards.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Good organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
• Capability to perform physical work, including standing, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Minimum 6 months of industrial or manufacturing experience.

Forklift experience required.
