Our downtown Dallas professional services client is seeking a CFO / Controller for a long-term, part-time opportunity. This role requires an individual with a strategic mindset, capable of analyzing current accounting and financial situations and providing insightful solutions. The CFO / Controller will be responsible for creating a financial package that can aid in making strategic decisions and business development.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the existing financial situation and provide strategic financial insights.

• Develop business plans aimed at increasing profitability and improving processes.

• Maintain and assess controls, implementing revisions when necessary.

• Utilize accounting software systems and business systems for efficient operation.

• Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities to guide business decisions.

• Perform cash flow analysis and profitability analysis to ensure financial health.

• Apply creative problem-solving skills to address financial challenges.

• Handle project accounting tasks, providing discernment to see the big picture.

• Use Excel tools such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP for data analysis and reporting.

• Ensure attention to detail and the ability to think outside of the box in all tasks.

• Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a CFO or Controller role
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in managing and improving Business Systems
• Significant understanding and experience in Accounting Functions
• Knowledge in Auditing and Cash Flow Analysis
• Experience in developing and implementing Business Strategy
• Ability to apply Creative Problem Solving to financial challenges
• Proficient in Profitability Analysis
• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Understanding and implementation of Process Controls
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field required, advanced degree preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
