Salary: $18 - $20

Position Overview: The MPC is responsible for providing care and support to children at Bethany House on Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 8pm, focusing on their mental health and overall well-being. This role involves creating and implementing activities that promote emotional wellness, assisting with everyday concerns, and fostering a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct Support:
   • Provide one-on-one and group support to children, addressing their emotional and behavioral needs.
   • Assist children in developing coping skills and positive behaviors.
2. Activity Planning:
   • Develop and implement therapeutic activities and programs aimed at enhancing mental health and social skills.
   • Organize recreational and educational activities that promote engagement and teamwork.
3. Monitoring and Assessment:
   • Observe and document childrens behavior and progress in relation to their mental health goals.
   • Collaborate with mental health professionals to assess and adjust care plans as needed.
4. Daily Care:
   • Assist children with daily routines, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
   • Address and resolve any immediate concerns or conflicts that arise.
5. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, educators, and caregivers, to provide comprehensive support.
   • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care strategies.
6. Communication:
   • Maintain open and effective communication with children, families, and staff.
   • Provide regular updates to families regarding their childs progress and any concerns.
