Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Draftsperson with proficiency in AutoCAD to support our Newbuild team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting area measurements from design drawings, tabulating, and managing the data aggregation within the drawing file. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and collaborating with designers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and edit detailed 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD. • Maintain and update drawing revisions to reflect project updates. • Ensure that drawings adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and client specifications. • Coordinate with designers and project managers to understand project scope and requirements. • Organize and maintain drawing files, templates, and documentation for easy access and version control. • Perform quality checks on drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design standards. • Assist in preparing documentation, layouts, and presentation materials as needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills: • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting). • Strong understanding of technical drawing principles, geometric tolerances, and drafting standards. • Experience working with Naval architectural, or land based architectural drawings. • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Experience with using AutoCAD macros and workflows. • Experience with other CAD software (such as Revit, SolidWorks, or MicroStation) is a plus. • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple projects to meet all deadlines. • Must have some knowledge of design and construction details, methods, and code compliance. • Educational and/or Professional Portfolio required.
Education & Experience: • Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. • 1-2+ years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in an engineering or construction environment
