**General Purpose and Scope of Position:**

The Technical Sales Specialist will help generate aquaculture feed sales growth through regular visits to customers and recommending suitable Rangens Aqua-feed products. Further, developing and managing relationships within the aquafarming and feed sectors, with consulting nutritionists, veterinarians, government agencies, and other industry partners with the goal of providing the company with an excellent market reputation and being consistently profitable

**Key Skills and Abilities Include:**

* Education: BSc., MSc. or DVM with a focus in aquaculture, fisheries, nutrition, or feed technology. Experience in aquaculture feed or aquaculture farming is an asset

* Broad understanding of the animal feed industry with experience in sales & marketing

* Excels at developing strong working relationships with Customers, Suppliers, and Co-workers

* Basic understanding of feed formulation & animal production systems with a focus on aquaculture operations

* Strong computer skills

* Willingness and ability to travel

**Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:**

* Act as the primary point of contact or designate as needed for Buhl customers, addressing product questions and concerns, providing solutions to problems, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction by following up promptly

* Assist Angleton customers as necessary in addressing product questions and concerns

* Work with operations and quality personnel to improve our processes, improve efficiency, and improve product quality

* Learn and use feed formulation software to develop optimized diets for various aquaculture species made by extrusion and/or steam-pelleted processes and to ensure good animal growth and performance

* Learn and use feed formulation software to determine customer prices by working with the sourcing team on ingredient market prices

* Support to fulfill customer requests for technical information needed

* Learn and help support certification standards sought and adopted by the company

* Help with product labeling and feed product literature development

* Negotiate prices with customers

* Ensure value propositions are properly communicated to all partners

* Communicate effectively and regularly with internal corporate staff and with external suppliers

* Promote company name/reputation in the marketplace

* Collect market information and gain a comprehensive knowledge of the industries served

* Attend industry events and tradeshows (represent the company) and host industry meetings

* Support marketing efforts at commercial and producer levels

* Manage risk by operating within established guidelines

* Work actively to support new feed product concepts or ingredient development
